COLOSCOPIE colonoscope
Service Description
A colonoscopy is a medical procedure that uses an endoscope, a long, thin, flexible tube with a video camera and a small light at its tip. A colonoscope allows for a complete examination of the lining of the colon (large intestine) or rectum, and can also be used to examine the last part of the small intestine. During a colonoscopy, inflammation, ulceration, and any abnormal growths in the colon lining can be detected. Samples of abnormal colon tissue may also be taken for laboratory analysis. A colonoscopy is an examination that allows for the analysis of the inside of the intestine, specifically the inner lining of the colon, using a colonoscope. This exam can be used to remove more cancer and prevent colon cancer using polypectomy techniques. For this test, the patient must be examined recently and in the hospital's operating room.
